What Grounds the Collection

We work with natural stones selected for their texture, tone, and quiet strength. The collection will continue to grow as we introduce carefully chosen materials over time.

Shungite

Shungite is a naturally occurring, carbon-rich mineraloid found primarily in the Karelia region of Russia. It is estimated to be over two billion years old and is composed largely of carbon, with trace minerals embedded throughout its structure.

Shungite gained wider recognition in the late 20th century when its unique carbon composition—particularly the presence of fullerene molecules—became the subject of scientific research. Fullerenes are a spherical form of carbon that has been studied for various material and structural properties.

Black Onyx

Black Onyx is a form of chalcedony, a microcrystalline variety of quartz known for its smooth texture and deep, uniform color. It has been used in jewelry and carving for thousands of years due to its durability and polished finish.

Historically, Black Onyx has been associated in various cultures with strength, resilience, and focus. While interpretations of its symbolic meaning differ, it has long been regarded as a stone connected to steadiness and composure.

Tiger Eye (Grey)

A naturally occurring quartz known for its subtle chatoyancy — a soft, shifting sheen that moves with the light. Traditionally associated with protection and mental clarity, it is believed to help strengthen focus and steady decision-making. Often regarded as a stone of confidence and perspective, Grey Tiger Eye symbolizes balance between instinct and logic. Its layered grey tones add depth and quiet intensity to the bracelet, reflecting strength without excess.

Hematite

Hematite is an iron oxide mineral known for its dense structure and natural metallic luster. In polished form, it presents a smooth gunmetal-grey finish with a subtle reflective surface, giving it a refined and structured appearance. Its durability and weight have made it a popular material in decorative objects and jewelry throughout history.

Often symbolically associated with strength and stability, Hematite adds depth and contrast in design. Its cool metallic tone complements matte black stones while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic suited for everyday wear.
